Keep Running the Race

I found this quote at the bottom of a schedule I was given. I really liked it and thought it was a good reminder and it was something that I found encouraging.

"Do you see what this means-all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running- and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished the race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed-that exhilariting finish in and with God-he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor right alongside God."

-Hebrews 12:1-2 (The Message)

Sometimes when we're running, we get tired and frustrated. Obstacles come in our way that try to stop us from reaching the finish line but we need to remember to keep our eyes on whats ahead. Eternity with God. One day, we will be honored for continuing to run the race and gloifying Him even when things knocked us down.
