Can't Put Everything In Boxes

The other day my mom shared this piece of wisdom with me:
"Sometimes things don't fit into neat little boxes. People are messy. That's life."

The thing is we want to be able to understand everything in life and know exactly what is going on. We want to understand why we feel the way we do about things and are left frustrated when we can't figure things out. We get frustrated when we can't fit everything into these little "boxes" so we can see more clearly. Its been hitting me that I don't have know what is going to happen in life and I won't always be able to see the bigger picture when I want to because I am only human, I am not God, and it is not my job to always be sure of every little thing. It's my job to just rely on God and trust him even though I can't figure it all out.
