In EVERY season You are still God
Its so easy to see God when everything seems like its going right. Its easy to feel secure about things and feel compelled to go to Him and grow in Him. But what about those times when He flips our world upside down? Where is He then? Most of us seem to drift away when things go wrong. Sometimes I draw closer to Him but other times if the pains are hard enough it takes me a little longer. But lately I've be re-realizing that we cannot just look to God to just be our "security" blanket that we run to when everything goes wrong. He is God when he blesses us and He is God when we go through sufferings. We should praise Him not only cause of what He does for us but because He is GOD and I say this with some difficulty.
Honestly it's hard to trust in Him when things fall apart. Its hard to rely on him when things feel like they are crumbling. The thing I've learned also though is that in all the seasons we go through there always is more to it. I even say that with some difficulty. We do not understand God's timing at the moment but in the end we see it. Right now, I have trouble saying that too. But at the same time I can see a little bit of how God is working.Its pretty sweet. I can definitely see that he is refining my faith.
Deep down, I also know that these things will make me stronger even though its hard to be strong.
James 1:2-4
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
