"He will quiet you with his love"
For my devotionals I've been reading through "Authentic Beauty" by Leslie Ludy and using the study guide that goes with it. One of the exercises/ questions had me look up different verses that deal with how passionate Christ's love for us ,is. The words from Zephaniah 3:17 really hit me:
"The Lord your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."
The part that stuck out to me the most was "he will quiet you with his love."
Sometimes, we worry about so many stupid silly things but in the midst of all our worries just his love alone, his love can bring us this great peace. How sweet is that?!? It always blows my mind how we cannot even comprehend how great his love for us is. When I read this verse, I just felt like all the silly things I was worrying about weren't even worth the worry. So many times when we feel overwhelmed we just try to handle it all but we never take the moment to just be at peace and let God handle it. Its incredible though when we do.
